Sick Days

In mid-November, Dylan caught the Hand, Foot and Mouth virus that's been going around at his daycare. When Evan caught it the first time, he was covered in blisters and a bright red rash all over his body. It was really awful. Dylan seemed to have a very mild case of it, though, thankfully! He had a smattering of blisters on his face, belly, hands, and legs, and only had a few patches of the rash. He ran a low-grade fever at the beginning but seemed to feel fine at the end. I kept him home for 3 days and he played contentedly in his playpen while I worked from home on my laptop. He took several impromptu naps, too. When he's tired enough, he can sleep anywhere, in any position. At one point, he was playing in his playpen and suddenly I heard snoring. He was asleep sitting up for a couple of seconds before he just folded right in half. He slept like that for a 1/2 hour before stretching out on his side.
