Play Mat

I put Dylan on his play mat last night and for the first time, he really seemed interested in looking at the toys that were suspended over his head. He first started kicking his legs upward and then he started to reach overhead with his little arms. So cute! Of course, Evan spotted this scene and wanted in on the action. He climbed up on the bed, laid down next to Dylan and swatted at the toys for about 10 minutes!

My Mom came back to visit in early November and stayed with us for a week and a half. She was a great help with Dylan and kept him entertained while I scrambled to do a few home projects while still on maternity leave. She couldn't get enough of holding him, and he was very happy to oblige. We were all sad to see her go!!

2 Month Stats

Dylan had his 2-Month check up and vaccinations appointment last Friday. He now weighs 11 pounds 6 ounces and is 22 1/4 inches tall. This means he's gained about 3 and 1/2 pounds in 1 month and went from being in only the 9th percentile on weight to being in the 44th percentile! The pediatrician was very pleased with his progress!

Brothers - A Comparison

Tom & I keep hearing from our friends how Dylan looks just like Evan. We don't really see it ourselves most of the time, but there have been a few moments where I've caught Dylan making an Evan expression and I'd think "Whoa, he DOES look like Evan." Also, Dylan often falls asleep in the same funny position that Evan used to do as a baby -- with arms lifted up over his head and mouth wide open. Here's a comparison - decide for yourself.
