A Merry Christmas!

Christmas was a lot of fun this year with both of the boys running around. Evan was off-the-charts wild on Christmas Eve and Dylan did his best to keep up. It was over an hour past his bedtime before we finally got him settled down. He was especially cute on Christmas Day. Santa didn't wrap his presents (but did wrap Evan's) and when he saw his pile of new toys, he walked right over to them, sat down and started playing with one. Then he put that down, picked up another one and checked it out. He got several new stuffed animals and gave each one a hug before moving on to the next. When he'd finished inspecting all of his loot, he went over to the stuff that Evan had already opened and started checking that out, too.

15 Month Stats

Dylan turned 15 months old on December 5th, which was my a-few-more-than-15-months-old birthday, too. :) He had his check up and vaccinations that day and weighed in at 25.2 lbs (he's actually lost a few ounces since he started walking!) He is now 31.5 inches tall. He aced all the milestone questions that the doctor asked and she was extremely impressed that he counts. The only word that sounds like the number it's suppose to be is "ten" but she was still astonished that he was counting at such a young age. He has also started singing, which is also amazing for his age. He sings parts of "Jingle Bells," "Old McDonald" and "Frere Jacque" (sp?) by singing "Da Da Da" or "Di Di Di" but he gets the melody and the rhythm right every time and we can tell what's he's singing! So cool!! He's growing up so fast!!

Playing Like a Big Kid

Evan and I have been using the tennis court across from our house as a playground for the last couple of years. It's a great place to let him run loose and be safely contained at the same time. I decided to take him there yesterday since the weather was so beautiful. I was going to leave Dylan at home w/ Tom but then it occurred to me that now that he's walking, he would probably enjoy playing out there, too. I was right...he LOVED it!! He tried to run to keep up with his brother but when that didn't work out, he just dropped to his knees and speed-crawled across the court. That probably wasn't the greatest on his baby-soft skin but he didn't seem to mind at all.

Black Friday Shopping

The only shopping I did this Black Friday was at the grocery store. This ended up being a great time to go there because there were only about 5 other customers in the whole store. I took Dylan with me and pushed the cart really fast up and down the empty aisles. He loved it and giggled really hard! Then we discovered some antler ears with jingle bells on it and I decided that both of my boys needed a pair. Dylan tried his out in the store.
